Baseball Hall of Famer Johnny Mize was a hard-swinging first baseman who helped the New York Yankees capture five consecutive World Series titles from 1949 to ’53. A career .312 hitter who launched 359 home runs Mize was a 10-time All-Star who posted some incredible years with both the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Giants as well. In fact he was the N.L. home run leader in 1939 and ‘40 with the Redbirds before doing the same with the Giants in 1947 and ’48. Featured here is Mize’s circa 1950’s-60s New York Yankees Alumni 10K gold lapel pin featuring the Yankees team insignia boasting red white and blue enamel work. It is marked “LGB 10K” on the back and comes inside its original New York Yankees gold embossed red leather case.
