In a re-match of the 1996 Series the Yankees and Braves again met in 1999. Not only did the New Yorkers win again but they did so in a dramatic four game sweep of the Braves. Yankees team physician Andrew Boyer--also late owner George Steinnbrenner's personal physician--gave this World Championship pendant to his wife to commemorate the team’s outstanding win over Atlanta. The pendant is the same design as on the rings that the players received and is produced by Balfour the same makers as the team rings. The iconic Yankees intertwined "NY" is coated with diamonds and sits on a field of even more diamonds all mounted on a 14-karat gold base. The reverse is hallmarked “BALFOUR 14K” and is engraved with “Angela Boyer.” The pendant comes with its elegant gold chain attached to a lovely diamond-studded loop. The pendant and chain show minimal wear and is a rarely encountered alternative to the standard World Series ring.
