The 1996 MLB season was the start of New York Yankees dynasty that earned four World Series titles in five years. Led by the likes of Derek Jeter Paul O’Neill and Bernie Williams the ’96 Bronx Bombers rebounded in the Fall Classic after going down two games to none to the Atlanta Braves. Incredibly they won four straight to start them on their remarkable run.
This lot features a 1996 N.Y. Yankees World Series Champions 10K gold ring that was awarded to Kenny Dominguez who served as a minor league hitting coach in the Yankees organization. The size 10¾ 10K gold ring weighs approximately 40 grams and features a bevy of authentic diamonds forming the famous interlocking “NY” on a dark blue stone in the center. The words “WORLD CHAMPIONS” in raised lettering surround the perimeter with “19” on the left and “96” on the right. "DOMINGUEZ" appears above the Commissioner's Trophy on one shank while the Yankee logo and Yankee Stadium facade with “TRADITION” occupy the other shank. The ring is in NM condition and the interior band is marked “LGB 10K.” It comes inside its original “NEW YORK YANKEES 1996 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS” wooden presentation box.
Includes notarized letter of provenance from Yankees minor league batting instructor Kenny Dominguez.
