The 1999 MLB season marked the third of four New York Yankees World Series titles in five years. Led by the likes of Derek Jeter Tino Martinez Roger Clemens Andy Pettitte Paul O’Neill Jorge Posada Bernie Williams and Mariano Rivera the ’99 Bronx Bombers completely dominated the postseason going a combined 11-1 including a 4-0 sweep over the Atlanta Braves in the World Series.
This lot features a 1999 N.Y. Yankees World Series Champions 14K gold ring that was awarded to Kenny Dominguez who served mostly as a minor league hitting coach in the Yankees organization. The size 10¾ 14K gold ring features an incredible slew of 25 real diamonds (signifying the team’s 25th title) forming the Yankees famous interlocking “NY” as well as additional diamonds covering the center’s outer circle on a dark blue stone. The numbers “19” and “99” appear in raised lettering around the ring’s perimeter which also is complimented by more small diamonds around the circumference. His last name "DOMINGUEZ" appears above the Commissioner's Trophy on one shank with the Yankee Stadium facade “25th” (indicating the team’s number of WS titles) and the word “TRADITION.” The other shank features the words “THE CENTURY’S TEAM” next to the Yankees logo the stadium’s outer façade and “25th World Championship” across the bottom. The ring is in NM condition and the interior band is marked “BALFOUR 14K.”
Includes notarized letter of provenance from Yankees minor league batting instructor Kenny Dominguez.
