Beautiful multi-signed Leroy Neiman limited edition (#301/350) 26" by 38" lithograph print featuring the late New York Yankees Captain Thurman Munson sporting his catcher’s gear and Yankee pinstripes. Munson who guided the Bronx Bombers to back-to-back World Series titles in 1977 and ’78 died suddenly in a private plane crash on August 2 1979 at the age of 32. The tribute print includes the following text below the image: “In Loving Memory of Our Friend Teammate and Captain Thurman Munson June 7 1947 to August 2 1979.” The print has been autographed in black marker by seven of Munson’s former Yankee teammates including Goose Gossage Willie Randolph Lou Piniella Bobby Murcer Ron Guidry Sparky Lyle and Graig Nettles. Neiman has also signed the print in the bottom right corner in fine-point black marker. Framed and matted to an overall size of 35” wide by 47” high.
