Featured here is an extremely scarce 1978 Super Bowl XII Yellow Variation FullTicket encapsulated as "Authentic-Reattached" by PSA. The game between the Dallas Cowboys and DenverBroncos was played on January 15 1978 at the newly-opened LouisianaSuperdome in front of 75583. This marked the first Super Bowl playedindoors and the first one televised in prime time. America’s Teamdefeated the Broncos by a score of 27-10 to capture their 2nd Super Bowltitle. Defensive tackle Randy White and defensive end Harvey Martinwere named co-MVPs for Dallas the first time two players shared honors.
Only three full yellows have ever been authenticated by PSA the other two being in a class of their own at NM-MT. This $30.00 ticket one has some issues namely its reattached assessment as indicated by the removed tape job across the perforation. And besides an indentation spot on the upper left corner and a tiny tear/scratch on the upper left edge it presents crease-free and quite clean front and back with bright colors and fairly sharp corners. If not reattached a full ticket with this eye appeal would normally be given mid-grade status.
It should be noted that we listed a SB XII yellow stub in 2016 but it did not meet reserve. That was the only public auction listing we could find of a stub or full ticket in this scarce yellow variation prior to now.
