The 1977 Denver Broncos were crowned AFC Champions after posting a 12-2 regular season record and then defeating both the Pittsburgh Steelers (34-21) and Oakland Raiders (20-17) in the playoffs. This lot features a 1977 Denver Broncos AFC Championship 10K gold ring. Sporting 50 points of diamonds the size 11½ ring includes a football-like design of diamonds on its face with the team’s orange “D” with a blue component in the center. The outer rim of the ring’s face reads “DENVER BRONCOS 1977 A.F.C. CHAMPIONS” in raised lettering. One shank reads “SUPER BOWL XII” and includes the outline of a football stadium with the Lombardi Trophy in front of it and the word “TOGETHERNESS” at the bottom. The other shank reads “POST” with the Broncos helmet in the center and the word “TOGETHERNESS” repeating again at the bottom. Exhibiting moderate wear throughout the ring is stamped “JOSTENS 10K” on the inner band.
