Presented here is a Super Bowl V Red Variation Full Ticket (PSA VG-EX 4) to the game between the NFC Champion Dallas Cowboys and AFC Champion Baltimore Colts played at the Orange Bowl in Miami on January 17 1971. It marked the first Super Bowl between two conference champions under one united NFL. It is also the only Super Bowl in which the MVP was given to a member of the losing team: Cowboys linebacker Chuck Howley. Colts rookie kicker Jim O'Brien kicked a 32-yard field goal with 5 seconds left to cap a 10-point 4th quarter rally and win the game for Baltimore by a score of 16-13.
The $15.00 Lower Deck full unused ticket is quite clean with sharp print colors. The corners show some wear and there are two scratch marks on right side but it otherwise has great eye appeal. This VG-EX blue example (pop 5) is the second highest graded example in the PSA registry with just two rated higher at EX 5. Red variations are more common for this elite ticket so this blue is sure to be a tremendous addition to one’s esteemed collection. Latest SMR value is $6000.
