The 1968 Minnesota Twins placed seventh in the American League standings with a record of 79-83. Despite the team’s mediocre finish they did have a few bright spots from that campaign including ace reliever Al Worthington who led the A.L. in saves with 18. Offered here is Worthington’s sensational 1968 gray flannel road jersey. “Twins” is lettered across the front in blue-on-red tackle twill and the back features Worthington’s uniform number “15” in similar tackle twill fashion. On the left front tail rests a "Spalding" manufacturer’s label a washing instructions tag and blue stitch script embroidery that reads "Worthington 15 46 68." A gray tag with "Worthington" stitched in blue is attached to the inside rear collar. The well-known Minnesota Twins patch connecting Minneapolis and St. Paul is affixed to the left sleeve. The all-original jersey has no alterations and displays outstanding wear throughout with soiling/staining on the front. Only six of the original seven gray buttons remain.
