Perennial NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook is the heart and soul of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Last season he set a record for the most triple-doubles (42) ever registered in a single season (42) and was subsequently named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player. He was just as exciting to watch during his early days in the league. This lot features Westbrook’s game worn Thunder road jersey from an away game versus the Portland Trail Blazers on November 4 2010. It was his third year in the league and his second as a full-time starter. On this particular night the Thunder pulled out a 107-106 victory as Westbrook finished 28 points 11 rebounds and five assists. The Thunder went on to post a regular-season record of 55-27 before bowing to the eventual NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
The featured blue mesh jersey which has been photo-matched to the game by MeiGray reads “OKLAHOMA CITY” arched across the chest in two lines of white tackle twill lettering outlined in black and blue with his uniform number “0” positioned in the center. On the front left tail is the proper “Adidas climacool size L” manufacturer's tagging and a “LENGTH +2” flag tag. Adjacent is the official NBA authentication code "OTH00104". The "11-4-10" game date and "0 - WESTBROOK" are penned in black within the tagging labels. The left inseam has a size “L2” materials tag with washing instructions and another Adidas tag that reads "07/10 P55111 AZB001." The NBA’s official embroidered logo appears on the left shoulder. The back of the jersey features his last name – “WESTBROOK” – arched in white tackle twill across the shoulder blades with his uniform number “0” centered beneath it in white outlined in black and blue tackle twill. The jersey reflects appropriate wear throughout and appears to have been washed.
