The Chicago Bears can lay claim to disproportionate number of legendary names linked to the franchise - Halas Sayers Ditka Butkus et al. - a roster that neatly includes the incomparable Walter Payton the man know as "Sweetness" from his 13 seasons on the gridiron and his charitable and humanitarian efforts off the field. He is remembered as one of the most prolific running backs in the history of the NFL and the nine-time Pro Bowl selectee once held the league's record for most career rushing yards touchdowns carries yards from scrimmage all-purpose yards and many other categories. His eight career touchdown passes are an NFL record for non-quarterbacks. He was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993. Hall of Fame NFL player and coach Mike Ditka described Payton as the greatest football player he had ever seenbut even greater as a human being.

That would seem like ample introduction for this sparkling Bears authentic Wilson home jersey. The blazing dark blue mesh is highlighted by Payton's famed No. 34 in burnt orange and white vinyl letters screened front back and on the shoulders the same fashion used for the striping on the sleeves his name on a dark blue nameplate on the back. The embroidered Wilson "W" appears on the right sleeve; "GSH" is screened in white and burnt orange vinyl on the left sleeve atop the striping. A Wilson Size 44 tag appears on the front tail. Payton has added a minimally faded blue Sharpie autograph to the "4" of his number on the back adding "To Dan" and his No. 34 nearby and "Chicago Bears" written on the "3." All elements of the shirt appear to be in pristine as-issued and problem-free condition.
