Shibe Park known later as Connie Mack Stadium played host to the Philadelphia Athletics (AL) and the Philadelphia Phillies (NL). The stadium opened in 1909 and was baseball's first steel-and-concrete stadium. The stadium hosted eight World Series and two MLB All-Star Games in 1943 and 1952. In May 1939 it was the site of the first night game played in the American League.

The offered seat hails from that historic ball park. Measuring 20-1/2"-wide and 34-1/2"-tall the steel framework secures a three-panel wooden back rest and a folding wooden chair. The metallic portion features armrests and a four-legged base. The item is beautifully refurbished in green paint and showcases a stenciled "3" identifier on the top back rest panel.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
