Full PROOF Ticket (Not Valid Admission) to the World Heavyweight Championship Fight between Champion Rocky Marciano and challenger Roland LaStarza held at the Polo Grounds in New York on September 24 1953. This would be a rematch of a bout from 1950 before Marciano won the title in which Marciano won a somewhat controversial split decision. The fight was fairly even for the first 6 rounds but then fatigue overtook LaStarza and Marciano began to batter him relentlessly. In the 11th round the referee ended the fight giving Marciano a TKO. This was the first time in 53 fights that LaStarza could not go the distance. Ticket is very clean and displays well. Corner wear and light crease enough to make it VG/VG+. Ticket has been punched/cancelled at both ends.
