In the eyes of DC Comics the great Muhammad Ali had to go galactic in 1978 and square off for a 15-round bout versus none other than Superman! This lot features an original framed front and back comic book cover from their 1978 DC Comics Collectors Edition Superman vs. Muhammad Ali volume 7 number 56 edition. It has been signed in black marker by Ali. It captures both the super hero and the Heavyweight Champion of the World squaring off inside a boxing ring in front of a capacity crowd that includes various celebrities such as The Jackson 5 Lucille Ball Donny and Marie Osmond Alfred E. Neuman former U.S. President Gerald Ford and his wife Betty even Batman. Beautifully framed and matted with a red white and blue theme the frame includes a rare original Ring-Side Seat ticket that calls this match-up out as DC Comics Presents The Fight of the Century pitting Superman the Kryptonian Man of Steel vs. Muhammad Ali the Heavyweight Champion of the World. The overall presentation piece measures 25: wide by 25 high.
