September 29 1958 United States of America passport issued to Hall of Fame pitcher Satchel Paige signed by the hurler 3 times on the inside. On the first inside page he has signed Leroy Satchel Paige. On the Description of Bearer page he has signed Leroy Robert Paige. At the top of his passport photo he has signed Leroy Robert Paige. All 3 signatures are in perfect looking 9/10 looking vintage blue ink. Passport was used once to travel to Mexico on October 10 1958 for filming of the movie "The Wonderful Country" starring Robert Mitchum and Julie London. Paige played a Sargent in a troop of United States Cavalry "Buffalo Soldiers" who during a joint expedition with Mexican forces against marauding Indians was forced to take command when the white commanding officer was severely wounded. This would be his only dramatic role in a film playing someone other than himself. Passport itself is in great condition.
