Longines 10K Gold Filled watch given to Hall of Fame pitcher Satchel Paige by the New York Yankees on Old Timers Day July 10 1971. Satchel Paige was perhaps the most famous and successful players from the Negro Leagues who made the jump to the American League at the advanced age of 42 and help the Cleveland Indians to the 1948 World Championship. He pitched professionally at some level from the 1920's all the way up into the 1960's. Watch face features the New York Yankees logo at the top with "NEW YORK YANKEES 25th OLD TIMERS DAY JULY 10 1971" printed below. On the back of the watch is engraved "SATCHEL PAIGE" with a small "10K GOLD FILLED". Watch appears to be in nice condition completely original and does run when wound. Great memento from one of the greatest pitchers in Baseball History.
