In the time honored tradition of professional sports kids and adults alike naturally gravitate towards the equipment used by their sports heroes. Back in the 1960’s players in the fledgling NBA began to get endorsement offers from sneaker manufacturers setting the table for today’s mega-endorsements. This pair of modest Sam Jones model basketball shoes stands in contrast with the colorful and fashion-forward models worn and endorsed by today’s NBA players. The Celtics star endorsed this pair of black sneakers and his facsimile signature is found on the back of each shoe. The shoes show good wear with some scuffing and stains form hours on the court. Two pairs of laces are present and there are some loose threads throughout. Best of all the NBA Hall of Famer has signed both sneakers in silver pen adding his number “24.” A very hard to find pair of Sam Jones signature model sneakers.
