To celebrate the 25th annual NBA All-Star Game in 1975 the league presented Special Citations to a few of the greatest living players. Celtics legend Sam Jones was one of the players chosen and this is the plaque he received at the game. The wood plaque measures 14" x 11" and has a citation names to Sam Jones laminated to its surface. The “Special Citation” records Jones’ five-time selection to the All-Star team in 1962 64 65 66 and 68. The plaque shows light wear from display. A tremendous recognition of Sam Jones’ place as one of the greatest early NBA greats.
