Beautiful individual championship trophy commemorating the Los Angeles Dodgers' 1981 World Series victory over the New York Yankees. The trophy, manufactured by Balfour, measures almost 12" tall and features brass pennants with team names around the perimeter of a large brass circle with a crown finial. Dodgers and Yankees enameled World Series press pin facades adorn the center area with "LOS ANGELES DODGERS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY PRESENTED BY THE COMMISSIONER OF BASEBALL OCTOBER 28, 1981 RON CEY" in black lettering on the front of a brass band around the base. Lead by the bats of Cey, Steve Garvey, and Pedro Guerrero, the Dodgers outplayed the favored Yankees taking the Series 4 games to 2. Rookie sensation Fernando Valenzuela won his only start, a 5-4 complete game victory in Game 3. This trophy is part of the Cey Collection in this auction and is accompanied by an LOA from Cey. 

Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method. If you would like your items shipped in a different method, such as UPS/FedEx Next Day or UPSFedEx 2-Day, you must contact our Post Sale Services Manager Veronica Rodriguez by emailing customerservice@scpauctions.com to discuss alternative shipping instructions. Prior to bidding, please be aware of estimated shipping costs, especially for large or heavy lots.
