Paul Skenes was picked #1 overall in the 2023 MLB Draft and worked his way through the Pittsburgh Pirates farm system in just one season. He was called up in May 2024 and was named the National League starting pitcher for the All Star Game less than two months later. Still just 23 years old, Skenes is already arguably the best pitcher in baseball.

 

Offered is a game used baseball from Skenes' 18th career start against the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park on August 28, 2024. Skenes allowed just two runs on five hits in five innings pitched, putting the Pirates in a great position to win the game. The Cubs' bats came to life against the bullpen in a 14-10 Chicago victory. Skenes signed the sweet spot in bold blue ballpoint and inscribed "ROOKIE SEASON" and "GU v CUBS." The ball is affixed with authentication holograms from both MLB and Fanatics. 

Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
