Ron Cey tallied over 1,800 hits in his career, and presented is the ball he hit for his 1,000th career hit. On September 14, 1979, in a game against the Reds at Dodger Stadium, Cey faced Tom Hume in the bottom of the 8th. Cey singled off Hume for his 1,000th career hit. The Dodgers went on to beat the Reds 2-0 in the game. Accompanied by a Cey LOA and part of the Cey Collection in this auction.
