Here a game-worn high school jersey from one of the defensive greats of the modern era Rod Woodson an 11-time Pro Bowler in 17 NFL seasons. He played defensive back and a variety of offensive skill positions in high school and was named Parade and USA Today All-American all-state his junior and senior seasons. Woodson was named Indiana's "Mr.Football" in 1982. In addition to football he won both the high and low hurdles state championships in both his junior and senior seasons and played varsity basketball his junior and senior seasons making all-conference his senior year.
The black mesh jersey coincidentally mimics the colors of a team that picked him out of Purdue University in the 1987 NFL Draft No. 10 overall: the Pittsburgh Steelers where he would be a fan favorite and seven-time All-Pro in 10 seasons. The shirt has a Champions Size M tag on the front left tail; Woodson's No. 26 - the same number he would wear in college and the pros - is screened in white front and back. Shirt has yellow and white screened striping on the sleeves. Shirt reveals a good bit of game use including impacts to the white-screened numbers and even some small holes that do not detract from the presentation.
