NFL Hall of Fame defensive back Rod Woodson got his professional start with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1987. Selected 10th overall in that years NFL Draft Woodson spent the next 10 season in the Steel City where he made his impact quickly. Over the next decade despite missing the 1995 season due to a severe knee injury he averaged 72 tackles per campaign. And through it all he wore the same set of shoulder pads which are now offered here. The game-worn black-and-gray set of Riddell Power Protective Equipment shoulder pads (model # PM-19L) show noticeable wear and tear and include a red DYMO label sporting Woodsons No. 26 as well as a white labeling strip that reads: 26 Woodson in black across the back. Woodson has signed the shoulder pads across the right front area in silver. A great memorable piece of game-worn equipment from one of the leagues hardest-hitting DBs ever.
