In 1988 in just his second year in the league Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Rod Woodson had a season to remember. Playing in all 16 of the teams regular-season games he made 88 tackles four interceptions and recovered three fumbles. This lot includes Woodsons 1988 Pittsburgh Steelers Most Valuable Player award presented by USX Corporation. The six-and-half-pound 12-inch-tall trophy includes the Steelers team logo atop the trophy. On the base of the metal trophy the following words are engraved: MOST VALUABLE PLAYER 1988 ROD WOODSON AS SELECTED BY HIS TEAMMATES.
