Before he turned himself into an NFL Hall of Famer with a sterling 17-year career with the Steelers 49ers Ravens and Raiders Rod Woodson was an All-American defensive back in 1985 and 1986 at Purdue University; he was named an All-American returner in 1986 and was a three-time All-Big Ten first team selection. In his final collegiate game Woodson gained over 150 combined rushing and receiving yards in addition to making 10 tackles and forcing a fumble leading Purdue to a victory over arch-rival Indiana.

This Hula Bowl jersey comes from 1987 in Rod's final season as a collegiate player. Woodson recovered a fumble by Arizona's David Adams late in the third quarter. The West beat the East 16-14 in the annual contest held in Honolulu. The jersey is a lightweight red mesh with white shoulder panels. Woodson's No. 26 appears front and back in screened-on white vinyl showing a good deal of game use on both sides. A hole approximately 4 inches in diameter appears on the front left shoulder below the stars presumably where a patch was removed. "Woodson" appears on the back in blue screened-on letters on the shoulder panel. A large red star is surrounded by five smaller blue stars on each shoulder pad with all elements screened on vinyl. A Pride manufacturer's patch appears on the back of the collar with handwritten "26" in marker. The jersey shows good game use and aside from the previously mentioned patch being removed is essentially as-issued and problem free.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Rod Woodson.
