Very rare 1966-67 Chicago Bulls game worn warm-up jacket from their inaugural season in the NBA. On January 16 1966 NBA granted the city of Chicago a franchise which would be called the Bulls. The Bulls would become the 3rd NBA franchise for the city the first two being the Chicago Stags (194650) and Chicago Zephyrs (1961-63) (the franchise moved to Baltimore as the Bullets and are now known as the Washington Wizards). That first team in 1966-67 posted the best record (33-48) for an expansion team in NBA history and became the first team ever to qualify for the playoffs in their inaugural season. The fleece jacket is mostly red with a black "V" trimmed in white running down from the neck and has black sleeves with black and white trim along waist. "CHICAGO" in white with black trim sewn across back. Rawlings size 42 and washing instruction tags sewn inside along buttons. Completely original jacket displays moderate wear and presents beautifully. Originated from the collection of Bob Rosenberg who has served as the official scorer for a number of Chicago professional sports teams from the 1960's to the present.
