There are no two names in the history of sports that evoke more reverence than Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Their legends have reached mythical proportions and their faces are woven into the tapestry of American history. Separately their autographs remain among the most coveted and collectible in the hobby but together that appeal swells exponentially particularly when appearing on a baseball dating from the height of their reign.

Their appearance on an Official National League (Heydler) baseball adds additional allure given that Ruth and Gehrig only twice jointly utilized this particular type of Spalding stamped ball in competition--in the 1928 and 1932 World Series. The first is celebrated for the Yankees' four-game sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals to avenge a loss two seasons earlier and the latter of course for the Babe's "Called Shot" against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley.

This extremely attractive Excellent to Mint baseball is fairly bright contrasting nicely with dark signatures of these two American legends that retain boldness that ranges between 7/10 and 8/10. The ideal positioning of Ruths sweet spot autograph and Gehrigs east panel rendering allow for simultaneous display. Minor and inconsequential soiling suggests minor game use prior to the autograph session strengthening the theory of being sourced at one of the aforementioned World Series. A phenomenal baseball in every respect.
