1) June 25th 1915 Happy Hogan Day ticket to the benefit game between the Los Angeles Angels and Venice Tigers in which "the entire proceeds of this day will be donated to the widow of Wallace L. Bray (Happy Hogan) as a testimonial to his illustrious career in the field of manly pure and elevating athletics". Hogan was an extremely popular West Coast baseball figure both as a player and manager from the Pacific Coast League's formation until his untimely death in 1915. Becoming manager of the new PCL franchise the Vernon Tigers in 1909 he continued in this role upon the team's move to Venice and led the team to a pair of 2nd place finishes. He had the Tigers in first place in may 1915 when on an off day he went swimming at Venice Beach and contacted a severe cold with pneumonia eventually setting in. He unexpectedly died on May 17 at only 37-years-old. Ticket does have 3 staple holes at the sides and some light creasing on front. Back features severe damage due to removal from an album page to which it was glued with both excess paper present and original paper missing.

2) November 5 1916 Frank Chance Day ticket to the game between the Los Angels Angels (The 1917 Champions) and a collection of Major League Stars in which all proceeds were to be divided up between the Los Angeles players. 1916 was Chance's first season as a manager in the Pacific Coast League leading the Angels to the Championship that year. (hence the usage of "Champions of 1917" on the ticket. Ticket features photo images of both Chance and Angel's owner John Powers. Pair of staple holes on both sides right below each photo. Front fairly clean and displays well. Back features severe damage due to removal from an album page to which it was glued with excess paper present.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Helms Athletic Foundation/LA84 Collection.
