The 1969 New York Mets surprised the baseball world by not only claiming their first National League pennant in just their eighth year of existence but by defeating the heavily favored Baltimore Orioles in the World Series four games to one. The team managed by Gil Hodges finished the regular season with a phenomenal record of 100-62 which placed them first in the N.L. Eastern Division. The boasted many individual stars including future Hall of Fame pitchers Tom Seaver and Nolan Ryan along with New York City legends like 69 World Series MVP Donn Clendenon Ed Kranepool Bud Harrelson Tommie Agee Cleon Jones Jerry Grote and Jerry Koosman. This lot features a multi-signed color lithograph by artist Doo S. Oh that showcases 29 members of the team including Coach Yogi Berra. Every player or coaching staff members has signed the lithograph in varying shades of blue marker. Beautifully framed and matted in Mets team colors the overall piece measures 37 wide by 30 high. Frames does include two slight imperfections.
