Three of the greatest and most widely watched heavyweight championship fights in history included the incomparable Muhammad Ali battling Smokin Joe Frazier. This lot features an actual fight poster featuring world renowned artist Leroy Neimans work touting the pairs third and final epic battle: Thrilla in Manilla. Staged in the Philippines on Sept. 30 1975 the bout ended in a dramatic win for Ali giving him the rubber match. The fight was a punishing display on both sides under oppressively hot conditions. After 14 grueling rounds the fight was stopped with Frazier having a closed left eye an almost-closed right eye and a cut. Beautifully framed and matted the poster has been signed by both Ali and Frazier in black marker.
