Retired MLB superstar Ken Griffey Jr. played for the Seattle Mariners from 1989 to 1999 before opting for free agency and a big contract with the Cincinnati Reds his fathers former team. This lot features an autographed game-worn undershirt that Griffey wore during the mid-to-late 90s in Seattle along with a pair of game-used Nike batting gloves and wristbands that he wore most likely during the 99 season his last in Seattle. The two-tone Majestic undershirt includes Mariners embroidered in silver on the crew neck and Griffeys uniform number (24) in blue fine-point marker on the front middle. His signature in a darker blue ink is positioned just below it to the right. The shirt has been cut off above the waist and halfway down either sleeve which is the way Junior preferred to wear it. The personalized leather batting gloves photo matched to the 99 MLB season show great wear and include Griffeys JR24 marking on the index fingers and 24JUNIOR on the inside wrist areas. The pair of wristbands also exhibit wear and include the Nike swoosh embroidered in teal next to Juniors trademark 24 while with the Mariners.
