Salvino, Inc. was formed in 1989 and started out by producing hand-signed baseball figurines as part of what was called the Salvino Collection. The company later expanded to include figurines from other sports such as basketball, football, hockey and boxing. Unlike other modern-era figurine attempts, Salvinos were very well-received among collectors (like vintage Hartlands) for their likeness, high quality and creativity, depicting baseball legends of yesteryear and current stars in dignified batting, throwing or fielding poses.

This Mickey Mantle example, part of a series honoring 500 Home Run Club members, comes in pristine condition and is number 56 of 368 in the limited edition run. The Commerce Comet played in 20 All-Star games, won three AL MVP awards and was part of seven World Series championship teams during his Hall of Fame career spent entirely with the New York Yankees.

This porcelain statue of the switch-hitting Mantle, following through a left-handed swing, stands 9.5” tall on a rectangular wood base. It uses metal rods to prop up Mick. The bat slides out of his hands for safe storage. With terrific facial details and precise uniform duplication, this Salvino creation is a close depiction. The white nameplate is boldly signed "Mickey Mantle" in 9/10 blue ink. A loose home plate placard reading “500 Home Run Club Mickey Mantle 536” rests on the wooden stand. The underside of the stand has the official Salvino, Inc. metallic certification placard with 1992 copyright and MLB licensing details. Includes printed COA from Salvino and comes in the company's original cardboard box. Autograph also certified by Beckett.
