Addendum: This helmet is from the 2006 season not 2003 as indicated in catalog.
Offered here is former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick's game-used helmet from the 2006 season when he became the only QB in NFL history to rush for over 1000 yards in a single season. Vick was simply electrifying on the football field and gave opposing defenses fits trying to contain him. Once clocked at 4.25 in the 40-yard dash he's easily the fastest quarterback to ever play in the NFL. Vick also threw for 20 touchdowns in 2006 one shy of his career-high set during his amazing comeback season of 2010.
The black Riddell VSR-4 pro model helmet comes in size “L” and has an Atlanta Falcons bar code sticker (1551C) as well as a manufacturing date sticker of “03-06” on the interior. The team logo decal appears on each side of the black outer shell. Vick’s No. “7” decal along with the NFL shield warning label and American flag stickers are affixed to the rear above a Falcons-labeled neck pad. All elements including the facemask mask clips ear pads interior cushioning and Riddell chinstrap are intact and problem-free. The helmet shows solid and consistent wear inside and out.
This helmet comes directly from Vick's personal collection. With several dozen 2006 game photos available online a photomatch should be attainable (see Getty 110382366 and 77768398 for possible candidates) although we did not consult a professional service for this. Every detail especially the rear decal alignment and cut-off chinstrap length seem to be right on. Vick wore a protective visor that snapped into his facemask in 2006 but it has been removed from this one as is typical with those accessories.
