As a late addition to this auction and just in time for his 30th birthday on March 14th SCP is excited to present this fresh-to-the-hobby pair of Stephen Curry birthday edition gamers from his spectacular 2015-16 season. Since 2015 Under Armor has released a special new-look pair of Steph’s signature model sneakers for the two-time MVP’s birthday. These offered Curry Two “Surprise Party” PE shoes were debuted on his 28th birthday (March 14 2016) against the New Orleans Pelicans and saw action in two more games that week. The Golden State Warriors—on their way to breaking the NBA record with 73 regular season wins—were victorious in each contest as Steph torched the nets for 80 total points.

After dropping 27 points (10-16 FG) five assists and five rebounds on his birthday in a 125-107 rout over the Peli’s at home (Getty 517296038) Steph went for 34 points (8-13 from deep) with four dimes and six boards in another 121-85 blowout at Oracle over the Knicks two days later (Getty 517295544). He following that up with 19 points 11 dimes 7 boards and 3 steals on March 21st in Minnesota leading the Dubs to a 109-104 win over the T-Wolves (Getty 516884928). These sneakers have been professionally photo-matched to each game.

A follow-up to the “Splash Party” Curry One’s in 2015 and a precursor to his “Dubfetti” Curry 3’s in 2017 these Curry Two “Surprise Party” PE’s released for Steph’s 28th birthday are "styled in a white synthetic toe and Speedform collar with the tame top of the shoe accented by vivid hues of blue and a cupcake sprinkle-inspired graphic outsole and liner. They also feature the number 88 along the tongue underside a nod to his March 14 1988 date of birth” (Nice Kicks). Coming in his standard size 12.5 and showing obvious wear throughout Steph has inscribed each shoe as he always does for his gamers. “WSC” [Wardell Stephen Curry] is penned in black marker on the front outer base of the right shoe. His favorite bible verse “I Can do all things” from “Romans 8:28” are each labeled in the same fashion on the left shoe. These inscriptions along with the unique creasing pattern in the midsole foam cushioning were essential to photo-matching the shoes to the three games.

Coming off his 2014-15 MVP campaign in which he led the Warriors to their first NBA title in 40 years Curry guided the Warriors to 24 consecutive victories to start the 2015-16 season as they rolled to the best regular-season record in NBA history at 73-9. The “Baby Faced Assassin” won his second straight league MVP award—becoming the first to ever do so unanimously—as he led the NBA in scoring at 30.1 ppg. He also led the league in steals (2.1) and added 6.7 assists and a career-high 5.4 rebounds per contest. For the fourth straight season Curry set a new NBA record for 3-pointers made this time shattering his old mark of 286 with an astounding 402 from beyond the arc. As the 2017-18 postseason nears the Dubs look to get healthy and gear up for their third championship in four years.

Steph is currently nursing a sore ankle and did not suit up on his 30th birthday against the Lakers but he did show off his new Curry 5 "Pi Day" PE's that pay tribute to the mathematical constant of 3.14 (March 14th) as well as the joining of his age and uniform No. 30 shared by father Dell and brother Seth.
