During the late 1970s Bobby Grich was playing in his first three season for the then-California Angels. His outstanding glove work at both shortstop and second base never dipped below a .983 fielding percentage. This lot features Grichs game-worn and autographed Rawlings fielders glove (Gold Glove Series ABB01). The well-worn glove is sporting Grichs uniform number 4 in black marker on the outside of the webbing area and includes a special protective padding device (HOT SHOT) attached to the bottom of the glove to help prevent hot grounders careening off the inside of his wrist area. Grich signed the glove on the outside of the ring finger: Authentic Gamer Bob Grich 9/5/03. His last name GRICH also appears in black marker on the outside of the pinkie area.
