July 17 1921 crystal clear Underwood & Underwood original wire photo featuring an image of former World Heavyweight Champion Jack Johnson arriving at home with his wife in Chicago following his release from federal prison in Leavenworth Kansas. Caption on back says Johnson "anxious and willing to fight" current champion Jack Dempsey. Photo measures 7" by 9" and is in pretty nice condition with one small pin hole at upper left edge and small tear at right center border. Part of top border has been removed.
