In the 1960’s the Green Bay Packers were the team to beat in the NFL. Led by the late legendary head coach Vince Lombardi the Packers posted a 98-30-4 record and three straight titles during his tenure from 1965 to 1967 including the league’s first two Super Bowl championships. This lot features a compelling 16” x 20” vertical color photo of Lombardi standing on the sidelines during an away game at Detroit’s Ford Field. Wearing an overcoat and his trademark fedora Lombardi appears confident as the pregame ceremonies are getting underway. The photo has been signed in black marker by 11 prominent Packers players across Lombardi’s overcoat and pant leg including Football Hall of Famers Bart Starr Willie Davis Forest Gregg Paul Horning and Jim Taylor as well as Green Bay favorites Bob Jeter Jerry Kramer Max McGee and Fuzzy Thurston.Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
