A classic photo of a classic bunch of hard-nosed football players. The Green Bay Packers from the 1960’s were considered the class of the league winning five NFL titles in seven years including three straight from 1965 to ’67. Led by their legendary Hall of Fame head coach Vince Lombardi the Packers gave Green Bay its rightful claim to “Titletown USA.” This lot features a rare classic black-and-white 16” x 20” vertical photo showing a kneeling Lombardi and quarterback Bart Starr posing in front of running back teammates Jim Taylor and Paul Horning and tight end Brad Dowler. Between those four players (threewho reside in the Pro Football Hall of Fame: Hornung Starr and Taylor) they accounted for much of the Packers’ scoring that decade. The image besides capturing the gruff Lombardi in a rare ear-to-ear smile has been signed in gold paint pen by the four players who each added their uniform numbers after their signatures. This is believed to be Starr’s favorite photo ever taken during his reign as the team’s dependable QB.
