Early 2000's Bauer R5000 Composite stick game used and signed by goalie Nikolai Khabibulin who led the Tampa Bay Lightning to the 2004 Stanley Cup Championship. The goaltender has played 18 years in the NHL and is under contract for this season. Khabibulin has signed the white tape on the blade in 8-9/10 black felt tip pen with the added notation "35". "KHABIBULIN" printed near top of handle. Extremely large white tape knob at top. Stick exhibits very heavy game use with numerous puck marks and tearing to the white tape on blade. Pair of small holes to stick on side opposite the autograph which were used for mounting in a museum.
Includes a letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
