Willie Norton was a 6’ 7” small forward who played eight seasons in the NBA for three different teams: (Detroit Pistons 1971-75 and ’77-78); Seattle SuperSonics (1975-77); and the Portland Trail Blazers (1977-78). This lot features a very rare game-worn Detroit Pistons warm-up jacket that Norwood sported in the early 1970’s. The blue button-down Wilson polyester jacket (size XL) includes proper tagging on the inside rear collar complete with washing instructions. On the left chest is the Detroit “D” logo in white tackle twill with a red (very faded) embroidery outline. Across the back reads “PISTONS” in red and blue chain-stitch embroidery on white tackle twill with a red embroidery outline. Adjacent below that is the player number “8” in white tackle twill with a red (very faded) embroidery outline. Some puckering on the logos and number is evident as is some slight fraying of the on the embroidery. Blue and red elastic trim outlines the collar waistband and both wrists.
