Large beautiful color tinted oval photograph of a young baseball player with crystal clear image from the early 1900's. Player is in full uniform sitting crossed legged with glove lying before him. Gorgeous blue uniform coloring with name "Waddell's" in bright white written across the chest. The hat appears to have a white "H" on the front. By looking at the back you can see that the oval was hand cut from a larger square image. What look to be original tinting and framing instructions are visible in pencil on the paper back. "4133 Oak" "letters white" "letter "H" in white on cap" are legible. Original period frame measures 18 3/4" by 24 1/2" and is still in pretty nice condition with a few cracks. Center glass also appears to be period and original. A truly unique and eye catching image of a young ball player from the early 1900's!
