During the 2002-03 season the Marquette University Men's basketball team led by junior point guard Dwyane Wade battled all the way to the NCAA Final Four. It marked Marquette's first appearance in the Final Four since 1977 when the team secured the national championship under head coach Al McGuire. This time around a convincing 83-69 victory over top-seeded Kentucky in the Midwest Regional Final propelled the third-seeded Golden Eagles on to the Louisiana Superdome where they dropped their semi-final showdown with Kansas 94-61. Wade led the team in scoring that season (21.5 points per game) and Marquette won the school's first and only Conference USA title with a 27-6 overall record.

Wade's performance during the Midwest Regional Final of the 2003 NCAA Tournament was highly publicized by the national press. Against the heavily favored top-ranked and top-seeded Kentucky Wildcats Wade recorded a triple-double with 29 points 11 rebounds and 11 assists. His triple double was the fourth in NCAA Tournament history and Wade was named MVP of the Midwest Regional.

This lot features the prestigious 2003 NCAA Final Four ring that Wade was awarded post tournament for his heroic performances on the court. The size 13.5 lustrium ring boasts "NCAA" in silver across the top of a center black stone with "2003 FINAL FOUR" outlining the top in raised lettering. Two small CZ stones are part of the decorative outline. One shank reads "MARQUETTE" with the NCAA logo showing beneath it while the other shank reads "WADE" positioned above a silver basketball. The inside of the band is specially engraved with his name: "Dwyane Wade" as well as the Jostens' manufacturer's emblem and "@LTM." The ring shows some wear and small nicks across the bottom of the band.

Includes LOA from Wade's ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches.
