In 2003 the Marquette University Golden Eagles men's basketball team led by junior point guard Dwyane Wade earned the school's one and only Conference USA championship. Behind Wade's consistent 21.5 point per game average the team recorded a final record of 27-6 and earned a berth in the NCAA Final Four after trouncing the top-seeded Kentucky Wildcats in the Midwest Regional Final. The high-flying Wade who gained a lot of notoriety during the course of the NCAA tournament then decided to forego his senior year to enter the 2003 NBA Draft.
This lot features Wade's 2003 Marquette University Golden Eagles Conference USA Champions 10K gold ring. The beautifully designed size 13.5 ring boasts multiple CZ and blue stones in the center outlining a capital "M" for Marquette while raised lettering around the top spells "2003 CONFERENCE USE CHAMPIONS." One shank reads "MARQUETTE" positioned above the Conference USA logo followed by the words "CHAMPIONS" and "27-6." The other shank reads "WADE" on top followed by the NCAA Final Four emblem below it and the words "New Orleans" and "SOLDIERS." The inside of the band is engraved with "Dwyane Wade LTU" and "10K."
Includes LOA from Wade's ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches which has a typo that erroneously calls it a 2002 ring.
