Featured here is a fantastic J.R. Smith Cleveland Cavaliers game-worn home jersey from Game 1 of the 2016 Eastern Conference Finals. The streaky shooting guard who beats to his own drum played a very important role for Cleveland during their monumental championship run giving LeBron James and Kyrie Irving a much-needed outside scoring threat and key perimeter defender. Smith started 77 games during the Cavs’ 2015-16 title season and averaged 12.4 points one below his career average. The Cavs blew away the Toronto Raptors in Game 1 of the Conference Finals 115-84. Irving had a pedestrian stat line of 5 points 2 rebounds and 3 assists in this one but did score 11.5 points per game during the postseason and shot an electric 43% from three-point range.
The white home jersey has “CAVALIERS” on the front and “SMITH” on the back in Cavs wine tackle twill letters. Smith’s No. “5” appears front and back in wine with a white border. The sleeves and collar have wine and gold striped trim. Embroidered NBA logo patch sewn on upper back. Shirt has appropriate adidas Size L tagging with "Length +2" flap tag on the front left tail. The adjacent NBA Authentication tag has serial # CCA04024. The bottom of shirttail has an upside down wine-colored tag reading “All for one. One for all.” Inside the left inseam is the washing instructions and "05/15" manufacturing date tag. Shirt exhibits outstanding wear and wreaks of perspiration. This one never made it to the laundry basket. Smith has signed the back in a 5-6/10 black marker; the autograph has bled a bit. Jersey was obtained through an impeccable NBA source who wishes to remain anonymous.
