Comiskey Park was home to the Chicago White Sox from 1910-1990. The park was built in 1910 by then owner Charles Comiskey. The field hosted four World series including one played by the Cubs due to lack of seating at Wrigley Field. In addition the park hosted the 1937 heavyweight title match in which Joe Louis defeated then champion James J. Braddock in eight rounds. In addition to hosting the infamous "Black Sox" series the stadium was also the site of the ill-fated "Disco Demolition Night" in 1979. The promotion saw 50000 paid fans and another 20000 unpaid fans storm and destroy the field causing the White Sox to forfeit the second game of the doubleheader.

This is an all-original free-standing stadium seat from the Chicago's Comiskey Park. This seat is painted a bright hospital ward green that has chipped and worn in several areas revealing the original steel and wood. There is the intricate radiator design on one side indicating it once stood at the end of a row. The seat number '1' is pressed into the top slat. A beautiful seat from the Chisox' heyday.

Comes with a copy of a LOA from Jerry Reinsdorf on White Sox letterhead.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
