1) Dean Smith typed signed letter originally dated 9/20/1993 on Univ. of North Carolina letterhead. Looks like Smith forgot to send it initially so he added a hand-written message at the bottom which is dated "6-6-94." In perfect blue cursive it reads "Chuck - Better late than never on your nice note! Let me know how you like the semi-retirement! Congrats on Hall of Fame as well. You have done it all - Dean." It references Daly's premature retirement after the 1993-94 season with the New Jersey Nets. The typed portion is a thank you for Chuck's congratulatory note to the late Dean Smith following his UNC Tar Heels' 1993 NCAA Championship victory over Michigan and the "Fab Five". PSA cert# T37566.

2) 2/10/1994 Lenny Wilkens hand-written letter on Atlanta Hawks letterhead. One of Chuck's dearest friends and most respected coaching peers during his career Wilkens was Daly's lead assistant with the 1992 U.S. Men's Basketball squad in Barcelona the original "Dream Team". He succeeded Daly as U.S. Olympic head coach of "Dream Team II" at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Games. Inducted three separate times into the Naismith Hall of Fame (player coach & Olympics) Wilkens retired as the NBA's all-time leader in wins; he now sits 2nd behind Don Nelson. In lovely blue cursive the note reads: "Dear Chuck I once read that 'It was far better to dare mighty things to win glorious triumphs even though checkered with failure than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much or suffer much because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory or defeat.' Congratulations on your selection to the Basketball Hall of Fame. It is certainly deserved and I am happy to be your friend. Sincerely Lenny." PSA cert# T37568.

3) Hand-written letter (circa 1994) on NBA stationary signed by former Commissioner David Stern and his deputy Russ Granik. The note is in Stern's hand and reads: "Chuck Congratulations to a hall-of-famer who really deserves the honor. Many more years of NBA Action to you! Fondly David & Russ."

4) 11/11/1977 Roland "Rollie" Massimino typed signed letter on Villanova University letterhead congratulating Chuck Daly on getting hired as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers. At that time Daly had left his Ivy League post with the Penn Quakers where he coached in the same city as fellow Hall-of-Famer Massimino. PSA cert# T37562.

5) 2/9/1994 George Raveling typed signed letter on Univ. of Southern California letterhead congratulating Daly on his 1994 Naismith Hall of Fame induction. Raveling is a recent 2015 Hall of Fame inductee having coached in college for over 30 seasons most notably at Washington State Iowa and USC where he was posted at the time of this letter. He is currently Nike's Global Basketball Sports Marketing Director. PSA cert# T37564.

6) 3/20/1994 Jack Gardner hand-written letter on Utah Jazz letterhead congratulating Daly on his 1994 Naismith Hall of Fame induction. Gardner is also a Hall of Fame member having coached 28 seasons in college at Kansas State and Utah. He served as a consultant with the Jazz 1979-95. PSA cert# T37567.

7) 5/6/1992 Harry Glickman typed signed letter on Portland Trailblazers letterhead wishing Chuck Daly well upon resigning as head coach of the Detroit Pistons. Glickman was one of the founders of the Trailblazer franchise and served as team president 1987-94. PSA cert# T37563.

8) Dick Versace hand-written letter (circa 1988) on Indiana Pacers letterhead thanking his mentor and former boss for giving him the opportunity to coach in the NBA. Prior to landing a head coaching gig with the Pacers (1988-90) Versace assisted Daly with the Detroit Pistons.

Includes copy of LOA from Terry Daly Chuck's widow. Also comes with Letter of Provenance from Rich Behar owner of SportsCard Central who acquired many items directly from the Daly estate in 2010.

Stern/Russ note and Versace letter are pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
