Following his gold medal winning performance as head basketball coach of the U.S. Mens team in 1992 longtime hoops guru Chuck Daly then served as a USA Basketball Committee member for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. This lot features three items that the late coach used during the Atlanta Games. The first piece to the trifecta is an official 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games warm-up jacket. The 100% nylon jacket (size L) is sporting the USAs trademark red white and blue theme with a specially embroidered Atlanta 1996 NBC patch on the left chest. The jacket shows moderate use. The second piece is a blue handbag with green trim that sports the Atlanta 1996 Olympic logo on one side. The final piece to the Atlanta trio is a leather portfolio that Daly used during the Games and signed on the front cover in black fine-point marker. The Atlanta 1996 Olympic logo adorns the front.
Autograph certified by PSA/DNA (cert # T36100).
Includes copy of LOA from Terry Daly Chuck's widow. Also comes with Letter of Provenance from Rich Behar owner of SportsCard Central who acquired many items directly from the Daly estate in 2010.
