Larry Hollyfield won three consecutive national championships with the Bruins from 1971 to 1973 and helped the school to a record 88-game consecutive win streak. He was a starter in his third and final season as a Bruin; from his junior year in high school through his final season at UCLA Hollyfield's teams lost just one game while winning championships in each of his six seasons. He was drafted to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) but he never played professionally. On the front left tail is the "SAND KNIT" manufacturers size 44 tag with wash instructions. Across the front is "UCLA." Below that and on the back is the player number "53" in the same fashion. All lettering and numbering is done in blue tackle twill. Autographed on front in black marker by John Wooden Keith Wilkes and Mike Warren three giants from the fabled history of the Bruins. Wilkes has played with Hollyfield during the Walton era and Mike Warren was an All-American guard at the school during the Alcindor years including the 1968 squad often cited as perhaps the greatest collegiate team ever.
