In the 1960s, there wasn’t a better one-two pitching combo in baseball than Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale. Teammates since 1956, the left-right duo pitched the Dodgers to three World Championships and collectively won a staggering 340 games between them. The two even staged a contract holdout together, demanding a three-year, one-million-dollar deal for 1966. This candid photo captures two Dodger aces on the field before a game. The Type 1 photo measures has nice, wide borders with sharp contrast to the image. The reverse has the Galloon Agency and Robert Stinnett credit stamps along with a handwritten notation identifying the two Dodgers’ aces. The photo has been encapsulated by PSA and graded a Type 1 Authentic.
