Offered here is an early hard top with soft bottom style Ken-Wel football helmet dating back to 1925. There are essentially two parts to this vintage design: an exterior hard white shell with a cross-striped pattern and four ventilation holes; and a brown leather base with dog ear flaps and thick cotton-lined interior. The white shell has some markings but is uncracked and essentially as-issued. "Ken-Wel 752" adorns the rear of the leather exterior. The interior has a simple four-point suspension system with the olive straps and leather roof pad completely intact. The original chinstrap more of a tie-on string is present and functionable. The helmet comes in NM/MT condition overall with some evidence of use. A unique and extraordinary example of an early post WW1 helmet you won't find anywhere else in the hobby.
